Gutter Genius' history dates back to 1982, when George Elko filed a patent on a simple, inexpensive solid metal gutter cover. His invention became the Elko GuttaGard. Over the next 20 years, more than 20 million feet of GuttaGard was sold on TV, in catalogs, in hardware stores and Big Box retailers as well as to hundreds of contractors across North America.

In 2004, GuttaGard was acquired by the Founder and CEO of Gutter Genius, Tim Staub. It took two years to develop the Gutter Genius product, file the patents, and create the business model that would become Gutter Genius. In 2006, Gutter Genius was launched with its first operation in Richmond, Virginia. We now have owners operating in New York, Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.

Gutter Genius is a young company, but it's based on 25 years of experience and a deep knowledge of rainware and gutter protection. We're on the verge of explosive growth, and we're looking for the right franchise partners to help us manage that growth.
