Yes. Gutter Genius has been installed on Dutch-style homes and on nearly vertical roof lines. Steep roofs do affect performance in heavy downpours, since water velocity is much higher, but installation is no problem, and the product works and looks great. Will Gutter Genius work on wood, metal, slate or tile roofs?
Yes. Gutter Genius has been installed on every type of roof imaginable. Installation does take longer on wood shake, slate, tile and metal roofs, and it does drive up the cost a bit, but Gutter Genius is still a fraction of the cost of competitive branded products.

Will Gutter Genius cause ice dams on my roof?
No. Gutter Genius does not cause ice dams, but it doesn't eliminate them either. Gutter Genius does prevent ice and snow from getting into the gutter and downspouts, where most of the damage is done.

Does Gutter Genius work in climates with heavy snow?
Yes. Gutter Genius is certified to handle heavy snow loads, and we've installed it in the most severe winter climates in North America, including Michigan, Minnesota, Maine and Wyoming.

With Gutter Genius, does anything get into the gutter?
Small amounts of debris will enter the gutter, usually 3 to 5 percent, but debris simply washes out the downspout. We do encourage our customers to install larger 3 x 4 downspouts to eliminate clogs entirely, but even 2 x 3 downspouts can go for years, even decades, without clogging.
